CROSSFIT WORKS!  At CROSSFIT MATTERS we train incredibly hard; harder than most thought they were capable of.  Everyday our athletes break down barriers and set new standards for themselves.  Our training is intense, and it creates a bond among our members that can’t be faked or manufactured.  Together we sweat, we bleed, we expose weaknesses and we get stronger…together.  The community aspect of CFM is our greatest strength.  At CROSSFIT MATTERS there are no ego’s, no room for bad attitudes.  Those type of people just don’t last here.  We are supportive, we are competitive, we are strong, we are humble, we are athletes….we are CrossFit.

We are a COMMUNITY!  CROSSFIT MATTERS is a community of progressive people who want to live life to the fullest.  We thrive in a group setting through the camaraderie, the welcoming environment and constant challenge day in and day out.  You are joining a community where fun, encouragement and respect for your fellow CrossFitter are priority.  CROSSFIT MATTERS is kind of like Cheers, where everyone knows your name, appreciates your strengths, challenges your weakness and is there to encourage everyone to achieve their goals and dreams.  We train like athletes, people who are disciplined, dedicated and focused on achieving their goals. We encourage the competitive nature of the greater CrossFit community by recognizing that ‘CrossFitting’ is, quite simply, a sport - the ‘sport of fitness.’

Our philosophy - at CROSSFIT MATTERS is simple - Fitness is a life-long commitment requiring continuous education and consistent devotion to improvement. It is easy to become bored and lazy, and individuals must fight through complacency and mediocrity, while discovering new ways to constantly rejuvenate their pursuits in health and fitness. CROSSFIT MATTERS ignites this rediscovery for individuals by offering the opportunity to join our community of fitness excellence.  At CROSSFIT MATTERS, we believe you should always be in shape, there should never be a point in your life where you get out of shape.

We’ll never just “throw you in and leave you alone.” We all need to learn the basics.  New CrossFit athletes will begin with the Elements of CrossFit classes.  Throughout your CrossFit experience, we will work with you in each class to make sure you are developing and truly becoming CrossFit.

Our goal - is to empower you to LIVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE FOR LIFE! We call ourselves coaches and we call you athletes. We show you what we know and we teach you what to see and feel in each movement. We drill the points of performance, technique and range of motion. We invest in our CrossFit education so that we can pass it on to you, so that you can perform better and live life better!

Every athlete is important! Whether you’re an Olympian or a grandmother, your progress is important to us. We will correct you, and when we see that “I-can’t-finish-this” look in your eyes, you’ll hear us say, “small numbers, get set…3-2-1-Go!”  YOU INSPIRE US!

Our vision - is to Build a ‘FIT’ Community. This vision guides us both in the gym and in our neighborhood.  We are all shapes, sizes and ages who take pride in working out with all sorts of people – business execs, grandmothers, police officers, fire fighters, stay-at-home moms, teenagers, Olympians, former high school and collegiate athletes. The only requirement is a positive attitude and a belief in yourself!

Never boring. We’re constantly finding fun ways to workout. We do “Out of the Box” WODs (workout of the day), we go adventure racing, we run 5K's to support a family friend and we learn new sports/activities together all with the ambition of experiencing more of what life has to offer. We do local/regional CrossFit events and challenges. We have Paleo-Pot-Luck dinners where we gather together to learn about each other, nutrition and the happenings within the gym and our community.  We encourage you to bring your ideas, sports and interests to the gym. Keeping fit means keeping it fun.
